Introduction

  1. It is a small size and low profile of 802.11ac WiFi module with half-hole footprint, board size is 25mm*12mm with module height of 1.9mm. It can be easily manufactured on SMT process and highly suitable for tablet PC, ultra book, and mobile device and consumer products. It provides USB2.0 interface for WiFi to connect with host processor. The WiFi throughput can go up to 433Mbps in theory by using 1x1 802.11ac/b/g/n MIMO technologies.
  2. It uses Realtek RTL8811CU, a highly integrated single chip IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ac 1T1R USB2.0 WLAN controller. It combines a WLAN MAC, a 1T1R capable WLAN baseband, and WLAN RF in a single chip. The RTL8811AU provides a complete solution for a high throughput performance integrated wireless LAN.
  3. The RTL8811CU WLAN baseband implements Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) with 1 transmit and 1 receive path and is compatible with the IEEE 802.11ac specification. Features include one spatial stream transmission, short guard interval (GI) of 400ns, spatial spreading, and transmission over 20MHz, 40MHz and 80MHz channel bandwidth.
